Andrew Gaudin, Chief Executive

Andrew has significant health sector experience, having spent more than 20 years in leadership and advisory roles, including five years as a Strategic Advisor in the Director General of Health’s office. Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Operations Research and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accountancy.   

Barbara Costigan, Senior Accounts Administrator

Barbara has over 15 years experience in accounts and handles all accounts payable and accounts receivable for both the Guild and PSL. She also processes all Pharmacode requests.

 

Cathy Martin, Senior Advisory Pharmacist

Since registering in 1997, Cathy has worked in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy (both in NZ and the UK), and industry and in an advisory capacity. Before joining the Guild, Cathy worked as an advisory pharmacist at Green Cross Health.     

Emma Houltham, Business Support Manager

Emma provides administration support to the Chief Executive and board members, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the office and Pharmacy House. Emma comes from a medium sized business management background and completed a Diploma in Applied Management (Human Resources) in 2007.   

Martin Lowis, Senior Advisory Pharmacist

Martin started his career as a community pharmacist in South Africa in the late 1990's, and has since been a pharmacy owner and manager. In 2014, he immigrated to New Zealand, working as a community pharmacist, dispensary manager and pharmacy manager before joining the Guild.     

Nicole Rickman, General Manager - Membership and Professional Services

Nicole manages the membership and professional services team and oversees all member communications and campaigns, media relations, professional (pharmacist) services and member support. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies - with a major in Marketing - from Massey University.

Niki Ryan, Membership and Events Coordinator

Niki deals with member queries, oversees member resources, and organises our events. Niki has worked in various administrative roles over the last 15 years, and most recently served as the Guild's Office Administrator.

Brooke McKay, Vice President, Central Electorate

Brooke is a community pharmacy owner in Upper Hutt and started her ownership journey at 25. Brooke has also been a PSNZ board member and branch president. She is passionate about pharmacist consultation services, whole of life vaccinations, embracing tikanga Māori and te reo Māori, and culturally safe practice.

Des lives in the remarkable city of Christchurch and is fortunate enough to own and work in a clinically focused, neighbourhood community pharmacy. He has been a Guild member from the beginning and has always worked to increase pharmacy’s value and positioning in our health system.

Glenn Mills, Co-opted member

As an early career pharmacist, Glenn owned and operated two pharmacies in Auckland. Glenn’s career then turned to commercial health management, where he held various leadership roles spanning merchandise, store design, professional services, government relations, property, and business acquisitions. Glenn has been on the Board since 2019.

Maria Morley-Bunker, Southern Electorate

Maria has been co-owner of Unichem Bishopdale Pharmacy in Christchurch since 2009. She has been with the pharmacy since she was a student, including her internship. Maria completed Psychiatric Pharmacy Post-Graduate study overseas and is also a Canterbury Community Pharmacy Group board member.


Shane Heswall, Northern Electorate

Shane has practiced community pharmacy for 33 years and been a pharmacy owner for 23 years. He owns Kensington and Maunu Pharmacy in Whangarei, with his wife Angela. Vaccination is a passion, and a service Shane is keen to grow. When he isn’t in the pharmacy, you can find Shane outdoors or in the kitchen.
